Transfer and rewards.
Handoffs are how mined $CELL rewards move between inmates. Every time someone claims their stash, a 10% cut is taken and redistributed to those still holding unclaimed rewards. The system rewards patience and punishes impatience — the longer you wait, the more contraband you collect.
When you win a round, your stash enters a holding state. You can claim it anytime, but doing so early triggers the 10% handoff fee. That fee is then distributed proportionally to inmates who still hold unclaimed loot. This creates a passive yield loop that favors long-term holders.
Smart inmates watch the timing. Claim too soon and you feed the others. Hold too long and you risk a shakedown. The game rewards nerves of steel — wait out the weak hands, and your stash grows with every claim around you.
If ten inmates win in a round and five claim early, their 10% fees get split among the five who continue holding. Over time, those who stay locked in accumulate more $CELL without lifting a finger — a slow burn of loyalty and greed.
